The gift of space: Regent’s invest in 20x25m marquee for summer events

As an events team, we love nothing more than creating magical summer parties on our four-acre plot of stunning lawns, named ‘Best Outdoor Space’ at the 2019 Academic Venue Awards. The landscaped private grounds present a solution for large-scale events unlike any other in London.

This year, we’ve tweaked our offering to ensure that guests feel as safe as possible, which is why we have invested in an even larger outdoor marquee than in previous years so that there’s plenty of space, no matter how big or small your party is.

The show-stopping York Lawns can host an array of memorable summer events, from wellness retreats and petting zoos to bootcamps and funfairs, as well as classically British garden parties in the main gardens, or tucked away in our more intimate Secret Garden. Entertainment spans from garden games like croquet, giant Jenga and boules, to new activities including archery and a 25-metre inflatable assault course for an unforgettable experience.

Catering comes alive at our summer parties, thanks to our incredible catering team, Vacherin, who have just won the award for Best University Catering at the Public Sector Catering Awards as a result of the diversity and innovation that they offer. Guests can expect street food stalls, from a New York dirty mac bar and an outdoor pizza oven, to a traditional hog roast. With innovative BBQ options, organisers can choose from Caribbean, American, Moroccan or British cuisines, including fun extras like a pick ‘n’ mix sweet shop, gin bar and an ice cream trike.
