A Rural Hidden Gem

The exclusive Secret Garden, established in 1904, is a magical hidden gem which adds authenticity and a sense of occasion to any intimate event with up to 100 guests, known to few and concealed behind foliage away from the main campus and hub of activity.

Buried deep within our four acres of landscaped York Lawns, this idyllic rural haven is available as an additional event space and is a popular choice for wedding venue photoshoots. Hireable for smaller events like garden tea parties, or as a breakout space for larger events on the lawns, the Secret Garden continues to wow guests that visit us.

Events

Photoshoots – Whether looking for an idyllic backdrop for wedding photography, filming, or launching a new fashion product at a venue that benefits from the convenience of a central London location, but with the aesthetics of rural countryside, the Secret Garden is the perfect solution. The walkway entrance beneath a stunning pergola is our most frequently snapped spot at Regent’s!

Garden parties – Providing an oasis of quintessential English greenery, the private space, encased by trees and shrubbery, lends itself to traditional tea parties in the summer months, with hireable furniture options and seating if required.

Drinks receptions – For a truly memorable occasion, the Secret Garden often plays host to private or corporate drinks receptions in the summer months, exuding a real sense of exclusivity.

Intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions – This is an ideal venue if you’re looking for a small but special space for your outdoor wedding with up to 100 friends and family.

Venue features

The Secret Garden offers a backdrop of natural beauty with very little styling required to create ambiance. There are still many ways, however, to transform it into a truly fairy-tale-like retreat through lanterns and lighting in the evening, twinkling tree decorations and quaint furnishings through our extensive list of supplier partners.

Catering options are almost limitless, with a team of seasoned professionals on hand to respond to bespoke briefs, from classic barbecue options to creative canapés and bowl food to suit the style of the event.

"Recently, Bi-Aura® International held an Introductory Experience and a CPD event at Regent’s University in October 2020, and it was very clear to us upon our arrival that the venue had everything in place to stay as safe as possible during the COVID-19 pandemic: staff wore masks, the hallways were clearly marked with one way systems and the meeting room layout made complying with social distancing very easy.
