Our longest standing member of the events team, Rafael Azzopardi has been promoted to Head of Events at Regent’s. This comes after recognition of a record-breaking sales performance over the past two years.
This year marks eight years working at Regent’s, successfully delivering over 10% growth in sales per year for the last four years. Following a particularly strong performance coming out of the pandemic, Raf has been promoted to Head of Events and will be overseeing the entire operation of external indoor and outdoor events for up to 1,500 guests.
Over the best part of a decade, Raf has planned and executed hundreds of events ranging from charity events and fashion shows to weddings. Raf is also a Guest lecturer for BA in International Events Management and MA in Luxury Brand Management at Regent’s University London, assisting in curriculum development for events management at the University and aiding the development of future event professionals.
Speaking on his new role, Raf Azzopardi said: “The past few years have presented a number of challenges for the events industry, so to receive recognition at this time for the extraordinary performance of the events business at Regent’s is a great honour. It’s been particularly rewarding to watch the team grow and thrive under pressure to deliver an exceptional few seasons of events, and I look forward to nurturing their growth more over the coming months.”
