The wedding landscape has been turned on its head over the past 15 months and a great deal of unrest has caused couples to have to rethink, replan and rebook their most special days.

At Regent’s, we understand that couples may be facing disappointment not getting their first choice for dates in 2021/2022 due to so much competition, but we celebrate weddings in all four seasons in equal measure. The term ‘wedding season’ is over as we know it. If you’re moving from a planned summer wedding to a winter one, don’t panic! Here are all the reasons why we’ve fallen in love with seasonal weddings at Regent’s, and think you will too.

Spring: Romance blossoms
Regent’s in Spring is a beautiful place to be, full of hope and growth. Across our four acres of landscaped gardens, an abundance of flowers come into bloom, lit up in pastel colours with natural blossom confetti adorning the trees. The temperatures are (mostly!) moderate and the expanse of space provides a suitable option for outdoor receptions, or at the very least a stunning natural backdrop for your wedding photos before proceeding to dine indoors. Representative of rebirth and starting a new chapter, Spring is a perfect season to declare your vows and start out on a new journey together. Another benefit for this time of year is the general lack of conflicting holidays which helps maximise guest attendance.

Summer: Sun-sational occasions
Summer weddings have never been a hard sell as couples dream of sunny days, long evenings and warmer temperatures. Summer at Regent’s is everything you’d expect and more. The ivy-covered Edwardian venue becomes embellished in our iconic wisteria in the early summer months with a spectacular splash of purple against the vibrant greenery. The longer, lighter days mean guests are able to make more use of the versatile grounds as well as benefitting from our extended summer serving hours as the bar is available for later finishes. From Aperitivo style dining to buffets, BBQs or more traditional fine dining, the summer catering options at Regent’s are endless. Light infiltrating our floor to ceiling windows for inside ceremonies with views out across the lawns and optional marquee use for large outdoor weddings on the lawns mean the benefits of summer onsite are unaffected if the weather doesn’t entirely play ball.

Autumn: Fall in love
The drama of Autumn at Regent’s makes for a striking wedding location. The ivy-covered brick quickly turns hues of red and orange and makes for a beautiful photography canvas. A combination of traditional and contemporary indoor and outdoor spaces ensures that every eventuality is covered when it comes to unpredictable weather. The natural Autumnal ambiance can be subtly complemented by dimmed lighting, lanterns and candles for a truly magical occasion. Crisp mornings and frosty evenings only add to the romantic charm, while the seasonal transition towards winter allows for catering creativity in both food and drink, for example adding a touch of spice to your cocktails.

Winter: Walking in a wedding wonderland
Once Christmas and New Year are out the way, everybody is longing for something to look forward to at the beginning of the year, and what better than a wedding to lift spirits?! A winter wedding at Regent’s benefits from existing decorations transforming the venue over the festive period, adding light, joy and magic at no extra cost. There’s nothing more enchanting than our campus in the snow, and though it’s not guaranteed, there are lots of ways we can help to make sure you get the wedding wonderland you’re dreaming of. Our extensive garden team works tirelessly to maintain year-round beauty in the grounds, while the inside of the venue can be dressed according to your vision. Winter weddings often benefit from more flexibility in the calendar, less competition to source your dream suppliers and fun opportunities for theming your catering.
